Pykälä – a unique milieu with wooden log houses. Available the year around in total of 248 m2 in three separate houses. 18 km from Kuhmo city amidst beautiful landscape of wilderness in Kainuu province.

Honkapirtti (Old Pine Log Villa): A log villa with 128 m2 in two floors. A well-equipped kitchen with appliances, a stone oven, a dining table for 8 in the spacious living room, a cozy stone fireplace. Downstairs, a room with a desk and a sofa bed for 1-2 guests. Upstairs, a separate bedroom with a double bed, from which access to a small balcony with a view over the field to the forest landscape. Beds for 2 guests in the loft lobby on the upper floor. Downstairs, separate toilet, washroom/shower, sauna (electric heater). Access to the back terrace from the laundry/shower room. Wooden benches on the front porch. In addition to wood heating, floor and ceiling heating.
Equipment: 2 x TVs (42" and 55"), broadband, radio, CD and vinyl record player, stereo, Netflix and Allente (Premium satellite channel package). Mechanical intake and exhaust ventilation. Baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, a highchair and a safe yard for outdoor play, there are outdoor games in the shed.

Wanhapirtti: An old house with 90 m² on one floor. A spacious main room with a baking oven, sofa, table with chairs etc. In the bedroom, a double bed and a separate bed for 1 person and a stove. Shower/toilet. Separate kitchen. If necessary, folding extra beds max. for 3 (indicate the need for possible extra beds when making a reservation). In addition to wood heating, electric radiators.
Equipment: Electric light, 2 x electric stove, small electric oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, TV (46”), radio, broadband, Netflix.

Keloaitta (Old Farm Storehouse): Two separate apartments on the second floor of the shed (please note steep stairs up);
Large Suite: Approx. 20 m², kitchenette, double bunk bed for 4, and a sofa bed for 1-2 guests.
Small Suite: Approx. 11 m², kitchenette, beds for 1-2 people on a loft accessible by the ladder.
Equipment (both apartments): Electric light, electric radiator heating and air heat pump, running cold/hot water, electric stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave oven, broadband (no TV). On the ground floor of Keloaitta, a electric heated water toilet serving both suites
In Keloaitta, there is also a separate space "Koirala" room, approx. 15 m², a housekeeping or working space, where you can find toilet and paper towels and spare lamps. In addition, the space has a large freezer, kitchen sink with water tap and a storage space. The space can be used, for example, as an auxiliary kitchen.

In the courtyard for free use by the guests;

Sauna of Logs: An atmospheric electric stove sauna in a log building with a turf roof. The sauna is suitable for up to 5-6 people at the same time. The sauna, washrooms and dressing room have floor heating, the washroom with shower. The timer switch for the heater is in the closet on the side of the dressing room.
Spring Pond: Possibility to take a dip in the spring pond (10x5m), depth of the pond in the middle approx. 120 cm, sandy bottom, swimming crabs in the pond with railings. The distance from the sauna to the pond is approx. 5 m. It is not open during the winter, but after the sauna you can refresh yourself in the snow or cool weather.

Kelogrilli (Wooden Barbeque House): A wonderful barbecue house where you can prepare tasty and versatile delicacies inside and protected from the weather. Equipment: Electric light, mini fridge, sink and refillable water mini-container. Seating and table space for dining on the porch outside. Smoker cabinet/pot for smoking meat/fish, flame grill boards and wok pan. You can stay overnight at Kelogrilli.

Yard storage/Shed/Other: There are outdoor games (bubble, darts, pétanque, badminton). Possibility of heating the car with a heater for 3 cars. In addition, in the wall of the lower floor of the shed, there is a possibility of heating with a heater for 2 cars. An underground cellar, a greenhouse and a separate storage space on the side of the basement for e.g. skis, sticks and bikes. Garbage shed/waste bins located at the end of the litter building.

Pets: Pets are welcome in all houses. In the courtyard there is an outdoor dog park of approx. 30 m² with a doghouse, outside the dog park there is a separate doghouse for 2 dogs.

Outdoor toilet: An alternative for those who appreciate ecological nature values, next to Kelogrilli.

Water supply/drinking water: Very good quality spring water throughout Pykälä.
