Nostalgic and charming complex on a sunny and spacious beach plot. An old house full of history and a newer small house with amenities. Laurinniemi is suitable for traditional-style vacationing and, for example, for holding small-scale events.

35 km to the south from the center of Pello, lake Ajankijärvi 50 m, shallow beach suitable for children as well, clay/sand bottom, rowing boat, and two piers. The length of the lake is 7 km, the width at the cabin is 500 m.

There are two houses in Laurinniemi.
The old log house (100 m²) was built in 1919 and is furnished in the style of that time. The house has living room, kitchen, and hall. There is a double bed in the living room and a 90 cm wide single bed in the bedroom.
The house has electricity but no water supply. Kitchen equipment: e.g. microwave oven and single door refrigerator with small freezer box. There is no electric stove. There is a TV in the living area.
The house has 3 fireplaces. A wood-burning stove with an oven will be in use in spring 2026. If necessary, there are additional electric radiators for heating.

The newer house (70 m²) was built in 1970 and expanded in 1977 and renovated in 2022. The house has living room-kitchen, bedroom with 140 cm wide double bed, sleeping alcove with 2 single beds, and WC.
In the kitchenette, there is a sink and a drain. The house's tap water comes from its own well and it is suitable for drinking water. The living room has a TV and heat-storing fireplace. Air-source heat pump. There is no shower in the house.

Lakeside sauna with steam room and dressing room. There is a wood-burning sauna stove and cauldron for heating up water in the sauna. Water to the sauna must be brought by using a bucket from the lake, the distance is 10 m.
