505 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 45 km to the northeast from Utsjoki, by the river Tana in Nuorgam. Tana river 40 m. Planed log cabin, built in 1998. Living room/kitchen with sofa bed, sleeping alcove with one bed (width 160 cm), sauna with wood-burning sauna stove, washroom/WC, spacious hall and open terrace. No TV. Hydro massage bath on the terrace. Please note that there is still hot tub on the terrace in some of the photos, but it has been replaced by a hydro massage bath

Aurora-mökki is a cozy little holiday home in the middle of the magnificent Tana river landscapes. In the opposite shore of the river you can see the Norwegian fells. The cabin is ideal base for excursions to the northernmost Lapland nature, salmon fishing or watching the Northern Lights. Fishing: The best salmon fishing areas of the Tana river are easily reachable. Rapids Alaköngäs and Boratbocka are within 7 km distance. Together these rapids will create 6 km long fishing area. Both have their own specific fishing rules (see Tenoinfo brochure published by the Lapland ELY Centre, www.ely-keskus.fi). Fishing permits to the Tana river can be bought from Tana fishing permits online store, see www.tenonkalaluvat.fi. If you need a boat or a rower, please agree with the owner. Hunting: Willow grouse hunting area 1604 Nuorgam (ks. www.eraluvat.fi) Services of Nuorgam village are close (1-2 km) including grocery shops, alcohol store Alko and restaurant. Border crossing point to Norway 2 km, Varanger Fjord (Arctic Ocean) 35 km. Utsjoki - Norway road is within 60 m distance, so the traffic noise can be heard. There is also Aurora Hut Iglu for rent. Aurora Hot Iglu is ideal for watching Northern Lights. It can be rented directly from the owner at the special price. More information from the owner. Fat bikes, mountain skis and snowshoes can be rented from the owner.

  Kodikas mökki, josta löytyi kaikki tarvittava. Sijainti hyvä, helppo liikkua paikasta toiseen ja maisemat mökin ympärillä upeat. Poreallas kruunasi loman vieton. Huolto toimi hyvin, omistajaan sai nopeasti yhteyden.

  Mökki oli siisti ja näkymät ja sijainti oikeinkin hyvät. Plussaa puu lämmitteisestä saunasta (ja kuivaa puuta oli riittävästi). Ja vielä extrana ulkoporeallas.

  Näköala upea, poreallas kohti Tenojokea, terassilla sohvaryhmä ja hyvä grilli lisänä. Mökissä kaikki perusasiat kunnossa ja saatavilla, sijainti luontokohteita ajatellen hyvä. Asiointi omistajan kanssa sujuvaa, hyvät ohjeet mökkilomaan saatiin jo hyvissä ajoin. Tullaan toistekin!
