Cottage number 17640
Low-priced accommodation in the middle of the nature in two different outbuildings for 2 two persons each.
Old log buildings with their traditional yards evoke a village-like atmosphere from the early 1900s, set partly amidst wilderness landscapes.
The interiors reflect the same spirit, featuring vintage furniture, objects, and textiles.
These self-service cabins emphasize environmental responsibility by offering guests biodegradable cleaning products and the opportunity to sort waste. Guests can also explore the diverse natural surroundings of the Lamminkangas estate via marked trails and roads, which are mapped out in the cabin.
90 km northwest of Jyväskylä, Havulampi pond 110 m. Sanded beach (beach name Polskepaikka), shallow at the start, and gradually deepens. Beyond the sanded area, the bottom becomes muddy. The Aittapiha complex consists of two historic log outbuildings: Ahkula, originally built in 1805, and Kukkula, from around 1900. Each building includes two beds, a small dining area, and a kitchenette with dishes. Both outbuildings also have their own composting outdoor toilets. The buildings are rented together as a single unit. Heating is provided by small electric fan heaters that plug into wall sockets.
A sandy swimming beach is located 110 meters away, downhill from the cabins. At the beach, there is a log-structured washroom facility where water is carried from the lake. Water can be heated with a wood-burning stove. The outbuildings also have kettle grills. (Guests must bring their own charcoal and lighter fluid).
Guests can ask the owner about using the lakeside sauna for an additional fee of 20 EUR. The area’s various lakeside saunas are located 115–300 meters from the cabins.
Surrounded by forest, the outbuildings are connected by a path to the Polskepaikka swimming beach.
