Note! In October-April, you can book for a maximum of 3 people, because the yard building is not in use during that period. Wonderful cabin on the east shore of lake Päijänne (Ristiselkä), Ristiselkä is the biggest open water area in Northern Päijänne. From the rocky beach, you can enjoy the evening sun until night in midsummer. The deepest point of lake Päijänne, Rappukallio (95 m) is located on the same beach, distance 1.3 km. The water depth should be taken into account with children. Due to the rocky plot, the site is not very suitable for customers with reduced mobility. 50 km from Jyväskylä, lake Päijänne 5 m, deep rocky beach, gravel bottom on the lakeside sauna, no pier. Fishing is possible from the beach. Pike can be caught in late autumn. Log-built cabin (2014), spacious living room, kitchen with electric stove and wood stove, two bedrooms, one with double bed and travel cot for a baby, the another with 120 x 200 cm bed, two WCs (WC on the upper floor and ground floor with shower and washing machine), spacious terrace with great view of lake Päijänne. In late autumn and winter, the heating time is about 5-6 hours. More detailed heating instructions are in the cabin, and you should read them carefully before heating the sauna. There is no electricity in the sauna, lighting is by oil lamp. Water is pumped from the lake to the sauna until the end of September, from October the water must be carried from the lake or when the lake is frozen (usually from December), water must be carried to the sauna from the cabin (distance 100 m). Charging an electric or hybrid car is not allowed from the cabin's wall outlets. No bed linen rental. The air heat pump is upstairs only for cooling.

Rocky headland in sunny location, there is almost 200 m of rocky coastline belonging to the plot. The cabin is right on the beach, the distance to the lake Päijänne is 5 m. There is a water way in front of the cabin, boat traffic can be easily followed from the beach. The water pipe comes from a drillwell, the water is ferrous and has a higher than normal fluoride content. The water is filtered with an activated carbon filter, but it may occasionally have odour (after a long dry season). Color and taste problems might appear in spring, for example after a long break in use. Drillwell water is researched and, in other respects studied, except for household water with a good fluoride content. If desired, the customer can also bring their own drinking water. The Rutalahti village is located 12 km away. In Rutalahti, there is Letkaliiteri venue operated by local youth club, where dance parties and other summer events are organized in the summer. Also, well-known artists are making gigs there. There is also a 3.5 km long Koskikara nature trail in Rutalahti, the terrain is classified as easy to walk (luontoon.fi). Leivonmäki National Park is 19 km away, it is open all year round. Its terrain is also classified as easy to walk. Services of Toivakka (shop, restaurant, pharmacy) 23 km.

  A great cottage equipped with everything we needed and more. Fantastic location right at the lake. A very nice old-fashioned sauna. An exciting surrounding for the kids to play.
