Accommodation information

The cabin is about 10 kilometres north from Ivalo, by lake Hukkajärvi. Rowing boat and pier, hard lake bottom is suitable for swimming. Spacious and cosy cabin with double bed (width 160 cm) and 1 bed (width about 100 cm). The cabin is decorated with old hunting and fishing equipment. There’s a nice view from the cabin to the lake. Gas fridge and stove, kitchen sink, heat reserving fireplace and iron stove. Drinking and other water from the lake. The water is not examined yearly. It is recommended you boil the water before drinking. Separate sauna building, grill hut. The forest road to the cabin is not very good and it demands good ride height and driving experience on hilly, bumpy and stony roads especially if You are going there by passenger car. If You have a car with a low ground clearance, it is better not to drive to the cabin. In that case walking distance 2 km.

WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented). This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended. Nice spot for fishing, trekking nearby, or visit Inari Hiking Area. Distance to Ivalo 10 km (shops, restaurants etc.) and Inari 33 km. Cabin can be reached by car during the summer, but the road to the cabin is bumpy and eroded. Cabin can not be reached by car during the winter, distance to parking place to the main road is approximately 2 km. Flight services also available. Read more www.lentopalvelut.fi.   Kiva eräkämppä, ihanan haastavan tien päässä. Meidän makuun naapurit ovat liian lähellä, aivan vastapäätä saunaa. Paikan päältä löytyi kaikki tarvittava mukavaan mökkilomaan.

  Todella rauhallinen sijainti, ei ylimääräisiä ääniä, kirkasvetinen järvi, naapurit riittävän etäällä. Kokonaisuutena hieno mökki jossa iso katettu terassi, ilmanvaihto mökissä voisi olla parempi sekä tie on todella huono vaikkei enduromoottoropyörillä suuria haasteita aiheuttanut. Aamuaurinko paistoi suoraan sänkyyn, jotain verhoa olisi kaivannut.

  Rauhallinen sijainti naapurit sopivan etäällä. Keskikesän aikana valo riittää sisällä kohtalaisen hyvin. Terassi todella toimiva ja iso, myös sateella. Kaasuliesi ja jääkaappi toimivat moitteettomasti. Keittiössä kaikki tarvittava välineistö.
