18 km to the southwest from Pieksämäki, Lake Niskajärvi 10 m (length 6 km, width 1 km) shallow, hard, sandy clay bottom, pier and rowing boat. Round log cabin 1974, living room/kitchen (14 m²) with double bed, dressing room/lobby, wood heated sauna, partially covered porch. In the sleeping shed (8 m²), there are two single beds. Woodshed and outdoor toilet. Masonry grill in the yard. Rowing distance from the parking area to the island is 250 m, drinking water can be taken from the well located near to the parking area.

Palopirtti is a calm rental cabin located on the delightful island (0,1 ha). There are no other cabins on the island. The owner has two other cabins nearby (both located on own islands) in rental usage, cabins 13799 and 13828. Electric car charging for an additional fee at the owner's farm (approx. 100 m from the parking lot), the charging location has a mains plug and a Schuko plug, payment according to consumption to the owner. Owner's farm and fields nearby, there are ponies and rabbits on the farm. Peas and strawberries on sale. You can rent outboard motor and bike from the owner. There is plenty of fish in the lake Niskajärvi, for example perch, pike, pike-perch and bream. Also good terrains for picking berries and mushroom nearby. Note! Owner will charge a deposit equal to the cleaning fee in cash on arrival if client has not booked final cleaning as an extra service. Naarajärvi airport for small aircraft 15 km, canoeing route “Savon Amatson” 16 km, recreational fishing area “Nykälän Koski” 18 km, Pieksämäki; doll’s house Tarinamäki 18 km, Visulahti and Kenkävero in Mikkeli 80 km, Helsinki 280 km. For extra persons owner will charge 50 e/person/booking.
