26 km to the northwest from Rovaniemi, lake Viiksjärvi 25 m, medium-depth soft-bottomed beach, patio and pier on the beach, hole in the ice in winter. Log cabin, built in 2018. Double bed (bed linen are included in the price) in the living room/kitchen. Spreadable sofa (120 cm x 180 cm) in the living area can be booked as an extra bed for one or two children. Please add “Other expenses” service to the booking according to the number of children (1 - 2). Bed linen are also included for extra bed booking. Sauna with wood-burning sauna stove, cauldron for water heating, dressing room and partially covered large terrace. There is an outdoor hydro massage bath on the terrace (immediately ready, electrically powered). Outdoor toilet with heating.

Viiksjärven Helmi is a nice little cabin in its own peace by the lake. The owner's dog sled company is located within 200 m distance, so the sounds of dogs can sometimes be heard. No visual contact to the neighbors. Owner can arrange different length of dog sledding tours and ice fishing excursions. There are also snowshoes for rent. Fishing: Fishing in the lake Viiksjärvi is permitted with fisheries management fee. One fishing rod can be used. However, fishing is not allowed in Viiksoja (a ditch starting from lake Viiksjärvi). There is no need for a separate fishing permit for fishing and ice fishing in the lake. Hunting: small game hunting area on state owned lands: 2615 Rovaniemi. Services of Rovaniemi City center 26 km, Ounasvaara ski resort 30 km, Arctic Circle and Santapark 32 km.
