86 km to the north from Inari, 40 km to the south from the municipality center of Utsjoki in Mieraslompolo area. The base for wilderness activities which consists of three log cabins. Total area 90 m² consists of two 25 m² buildings and one 45 m² building. The destination is located on the magnificent mountain terrain near the river valley of Utsjoki. Cabin 1: Log cabin, 45 m² loft, built in 2015. There is a living room (1 spreadable bed), sleeping corner (140 cm double bed), loft (3 mattresses on the floor) and kitchenette with gas stove, fridge, and tableware in the cabin. Pets are not allowed in this cabin. Pets are allowed in cabins 2 and 3. Cabin 2: 25 m², two beds in a living room, kitchenette, gas stove oven, wood stove heating, lighting with oil lamps and candles, wood-heated sauna in the same building. Cabin 3: Area 25 m²: wide bed and bunk bed, wood stove heating, lighting with candles, underground cold storage. Water to the sauna from the brook/pond or from the well. The suggestion is that guests bring drinking water themselves. All of these three buildings have solar electricity system. It is offering power for low consumption devices (charger, laptop, radio, etc.). The sufficiency of electricity cannot be guaranteed, so please also prepare for candle or oil lantern based lighting. WILDERNESS CABIN: Wilderness cabins are suitable for fishing, trekking, and hunting trips. Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. The cabin is not preheated before the customer’s arrival. The cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. The guest must bring their own bed linen and towels (not available for rent). Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended. Utsjoki 40 km, Ivalo Airport 120 km, Kevo Strict Nature Reserve 10 km (www.luontoon.fi/kevo). This wilderness base is located in the vicinity of the magnificent lake Mierasjärvi (3 km). Boat available on the lake. This base is ideal for hikers. The destination is surrounded by wilderness areas of Paistunturi and Kaldoaivi. ATV trails can be used for hiking and mountain biking. Utsjoki (known as salmon river) is 600 m away (permit id: Utsjoki 1572). You can ask more about fishing opportunities from the owner. Kiva erämökki, jonne mahtuu isompikin porukka yöpymään (päämökki, saunamökki ja aitta). Aurinkoenergialla saa valoa ja virtaa sekä kylmenee kaksi jääkaappia, joista toisessa myös pakasteosa.
