In winter, Sastamala's most popular destination is ski center Ellivuori, which is one of the only ski centers in southern Finland. Sastamala is known from it's many churches, especially St. Olaf's Church in Tyrvää (Finnish: Tyrvään Pyhän Olavin kirkko), a late medieval fieldstone church with amazing traditional Finnish lake scenery.
